- Lord Sabre is set to release his debut album under his own name later this year.

Andrew Weatherall will release his debut solo album under his own name in September.
He may be one of the best loved figures in modern dance music, but it somehow seems strange that Weatherall has yet to commit a solo full-length to wax. Weatherall is best known for both his work on Primal Scream's Screamadelica as well his collaborative Sabres Of Paradise and Two Lone Swordsmen projects, but A Pox On The Pioneers will be looking to change all that, and provide an insight into what he's currently cooking up in his London studio.
Listeners have been told to expect a synergy of rock'n'roll with "modernistic electronics," which takes influence from techno, house and also disco. Having now finished the record, Weatherall is currently working on a range of hand-made prints for a gallery show in 2010.
