  • Godflesh, Justin Broadrick's long-running band, will put out its next album on November 17th. Post-Self reportedly explores a less metal side of the band and digs deeper into its post-punk and industrial influences, with lyrical themes including "anxiety, depression, fear, mortality and family relationships," according to the press release. It's the first album by the UK group since their 2014 comeback A World Lit Only By Fire, and it follows a handful of records by Broadrick under his newer techno alias JK Flesh. Godflesh debuted in 1988 after Broadrick left grindcore band Napalm Death, and has been a pioneering force in industrial music and metal. The group is famous for albums like 1989's Streetcleaner and 1991's Pure. Listen to the title track.
