- The techno imprint is back after a nearly year and a half break.
New York DJ Anthony Parasole's The Corner label returns to action next month with records from Phil Moffa and Dar Embarks.
While Parasole has kept busy touring, holding down a residency at Berghain in Berlin and producing his debut album Infrared Vision, we haven't heard anything from The Corner since Dietrich Schoenemann's 9 Clicks 12-inch back in early 2016. Nearly a year and a half later, the label has revealed its 15th and 16th releases, with Parasole describing both as "pure techno bliss."
Moffa, pictured—a key label affiliate, Parasole collaborator and well-regarded studio guru also from New York—offers Frequency Of Noise, which includes Moffa's previously digital-only 2015 remix of Vancouver duo Humans' "Follow." The other EP is Dar Embarks' Busted EP. A Chicago-based collaboration between Dan Jugel (whose Juzer project with Beau Wanzer led to a 2014 release on The Corner, Horseplay) and Kenneth Zawacki (also known alongside Justin Long as Circling Vultures), they'll be appearing on The Corner for the first time.
