- It's the companion piece to the Detroit artist's already-released Pt. 2.
Theo Parrish has just released the first volume of his already in-progress Gentrified Love series.
The second volume of Gentrified Love appeared on the Sound Signature online store last month, hinting at a new series that had no first part. Now the Detroit producer has filled in the missing link with another collaborative record. Where Pt. 2 had Waajeed and Duminie DePorres on board, Pt. 1's "A Ghetto Proposal" features vocalist Kitten Kuroi and trumpet player John Douglas, who has worked with Parrish in the past. Motor city musician Amp Fiddler is credited on the instrumental B-side.
