The Technics SL1200-G is being stocked by German retailers.
It signals the end of Panasonic's year-long campaign to promote the new version of its previously terminated Technics SL-1200, which has long been considered an industry standard. After the initial announcement back in September 2015, Panasonic announced a highly-limited run of the deck called the SL-1200GAE, which sold out in thirty minutes when released on the Japanese market. It then listed the UK selling price of the GAE at £2,799.
The standard issue SL1200-G is now retailing for around €3,680 in Germany. You can see the available stockists here. There is currently no word on release dates in other territories.
