- The new LP from the Scottish duo comes in October via their own Soma Records.
Slam's next full-length is due October 28th via Soma Records.
The Scottish group comprising Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle has been in the game for 30 years now. McMillan and Meikle spend a lot of time on the road as touring DJs, and the press release for Machine Cut Noise notes "many of the original ideas for the album were created in airports and hotels." It's the sixth album from Slam following up on their 2014 ambient-tinged effort, Reverse Proceed. In 2014 we caught up with McMillan and Meikle for an RA Exchange—listen to it here.
