Marcellus Pittman releases mixtape on Altered Soul Experiment

- The Detroit don recorded his entry into the digger-focused series at home.
- The next Altered Soul Experiment mixtape, from Marcellus Pittman, is out on July 25th. ASE kicked off last summer and has since released cassette mixes from the likes of Volcov, Red Greg and Ge-ology. The tape from Pittman is the first in a series from the Unirhythm boss, who took the opportunity to play records that don't often make their way into his DJ sets. He recorded it at home in Detroit, and the label says "the essence of this contribution is one purely from reflecting the heart and soul of Pittman’s biggest influences, shown through his private collection of records built over the years of digging, but seldom played outside his friends and family." Pittman also released a 12-inch called Sneak Attack on his own label earlier this year. The German-based DJ Amila is behind the ASE cassettes—he'll throw a label night at OHM on August 6th.
