John Carpenter to release new album, Lost Themes II

- The horror film director and soundtrack composer will also perform live for the first time ever.
- John Carpenter has announced a new album, Lost Themes II, as well as details of his first ever live performances. Lost Themes was the first solo album from Carpenter, the director who scored his own horror films, including Halloween, Escape From New York and The Fog. Sacred Bones Records will release a follow-up LP of original music he composed alongside his son, Cody Carpenter, and his godson, Daniel Davies, who also contributed to the first LP. For the second album, however, they were able to meet and record in the same city, rather than swapping ideas online over the course of several years, as was the case with Lost Themes. Carpenter will play his first ever live dates this summer and fall. He and his bandmates will hit the road in June to perform both new and old music, as well as retrospective work spanning his entire career.
