  • Arturia has unveiled a new analogue synthesiser called the MatrixBrute. The company is calling the MatrixBrute "the most powerful analogue synthesiser ever created." It offers 16 modulation sources and destinations via a grid matrix, which also doubles as a 64-step sequencer, meaning there's considerable scope for deep processing. Arturia added an analogue effects path with chorus, delay and flanger to a meaty offering of three oscillators, each equipped with a sub generator, and the output/input spec features 12 CV in/outs and an audio input. The MatrixBrute builds directly on the lineage of Arturia's well-loved Brute range of synths that offered analogue circuitry in a compact package. Arturia will release the MatrixBrute in spring 2016.
