Sankeys Ibiza to start 2016 season on May 1st

- Sankeys Ibiza will open more than three weeks earlier than planned in 2016, beginning the season on Sunday, May 1st. The news arrived via Facebook earlier today, confirmed in a post from owner David Vincent on his personal page. "For many years there has always been talk about extending the Ibiza clubbing season," he says. "After 5 years being here, nothing has changed it was just 'blah blah blah' so I thought to myself fuck it, I'll do it. I like a challenge and I want to progressively push the island I love forward whilst creating a legacy like I did in Manchester!" The past two summers, Sankeys has opened in the third week of May, coinciding with the first day of Ibiza's International Music Summit. In addition to the opening date, Sankeys has also confirmed two parties for 2016: a return for The Redlight on Thursdays, and a Wednesday night slot for new party Dance 88/89.
