- The new imprint will put out a four-tracker from obscure Melbourne producer Braden Schlager this month.
Noise In My Head will launch a new reissue label called Efficient Space later this month.
The Australian concern started releasing records last year after a long run as a web radio show. NIMH proprietor Michael Kucyk is known for playing rare records on the show, so the move towards archival releases isn't unexpected. Efficient Space will launch with a collection of tunes from Braden Schlager, a producer involved with Melbourne's early '90s club scene. The label says he initially developed a love for synthesizers as a post-punk musician, going on to hold a residency at Melbourne's Commerce Club. The EP includes two mixes of "Morning," a 1990 track which could have been the result of "Nu Groove commissioning a house track from Klaus Schulze," according to the press release. The closer on the EP is "King Of Comedy," Schlager's contribution to a 1991 student play.
