Last day of Electric Zoo 2014 canceled due to weather

- "Extreme weather conditions" have brought the New York festival to an early close.
- New York's Electric Zoo has canceled its last day of programming due to severe weather. Flash flood warnings forced organizers Made Event to evacuate the festival site on Randall's Island early on in the third and final day of the weekend-long event. The closure will stick for the whole evening, with the festival tweeting "THERE WILL BE NO RE-ENTRY." This is the second year in a row that organizers have halted festivities early—last year, the final day of the festival was pre-emptively called off after two audience members died. "We apologize to fans," the Twitter account later said, "but your safety is our main concern."
