Theo Parrish's next album, American Intelligence, is coming out through Sound Signature on November 17th.
Sound clips have been uploaded to Juno, with the site's editorial offshoot, Juno Plus, outlining the details. Parrish has been weaving previews of the LP into his live shows (including a performance at the Barbican in July), following initial hints of the album back in February. White label copies have also been on sale in Chicago and Detroit for a few weeks now.
American Intelligence will be available as a triple-LP and double-CD. The CD version contains six additional tracks: "Life Spice," "Welcome Back," "Tympanic Warfare," "…There Here," "Thug Irony" and "I Enjoy Watching You." It's Parrish's fourth solo album, and his first since 2007's Sound Sculptures Volume 1. Marcellus Pittman appears on one track, "Ah," which has been a staple of Parrish's live shows this year. Ideeyah and Duminie Deporres both appear on "Ah" and "Be In Yo Self."
