- The up-and-coming producer's ---- will drop on PNN in April.
Matt Karmil has finished work on his debut album ----, due through PNN on April 28th.
Up until now, Karmil has kept a low profile. He's only offered up a handful of remixes and two 12-inches, but has still won over a hefty batch of fans. His first two records came about after meeting some of the Kompakt crew on a trip to Cologne, who later convinced him to send some work their way. Subsequently, it'll be Popnonme's PNN imprint hosting Karmil's full-length debut, just over a year since his lush, densely layered house was first put to wax. "I've never sent a demo to anyone," he explains. "I really thought that people wouldn't be so interested in the music I just made to entertain myself, but I'm starting to realise that the more I make music based on that premise, the more other people seem to enjoy it."
Later this month, Beats In Space will drop Karmil's third 12-inch, titled So You Say. It sees Karmil in dance floor mode, and is comparatively more club-ready than what's present on ----.
