  • A new nightclub called Control will open in Leeds this September. The two-room, 3100-capacity venue will have seven bars, Funktion One sound and a 24-hour license. It will be operated by local club The Warehouse, whose roots in the city's party scene date back to 1979. A press release for the club reveals that Control will have, among other things: a VIP Skylounge, LED video walls, nine tunnels, performance stages, a heated outdoor terrace and "first class hospitality and service, booth guardians and waitress service." It also says it'll have "world's biggest LED Geometric Geodome," which features thousands of individual LED lights. The lineups for the first Control parties will be announced in August.
