  • Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum have started a new label called Ultramajic. The imprint is the latest collaborative project from the two Berlin-based Americans. They teamed up last year for an EP and a series of live shows as JETS. According to an interview with Edgar for FACT, Ultramajic is the product of Edgar's desire to "create my own world of music, design and whatever else." Aside from releasing music, plans for the multimedia endeavour include club nights and gallery events. In collaboration with designer Pilar Zeta (who worked on Edgar's 2012 LP Majenta), they'll also release a "metaphysical card deck" based on the Law Of One books. The first EP, Hot Inside, will come from Edgar himself. It features three new tracks of synth-heavy funk in the realm of his recent music, with artwork from Zeta. Future Ultramajic releases will come from JETS, SOPHIE and Creepy Autograph. Tracklist 01. Hot Inside 02. Strike 03. Shout Ultramajic will release Hot Inside on June 10th, 2013.
