- Silicone Soul have had brushes with pop music and have a close relationship with Slam and Soma, so it's no surprise that their label's half-century release doesn't come from some particularly obscure corner of dance music stylistically. The title track is rocky, floor-friendly tech house. It's heavy, and well produced, but the mainstream feel is too strong. "Time Mariner's Mirrour," however, is a tasty B-side. It's got a moonlit, rainforest ambiance, with Spanish guitars that work well (here) and add to the romance. Kiki's mix sits in the same shuffly deep house realms as "The L Word" by Deniz Kurtel. We're still in the rainforest, but the cheery xylophones make it more about the wet freshness of the after-rain sunshine. It progresses nicely to a twilit vibe, and then plays out somewhere between the two, overall being something on the mild side but pleasant nonetheless.
