- For the 5th and final Classic Hooj repress, we visit outer space with Stage One and enter a Dream Universe with CM. Enough of the cheesy intros and into the tunes.
On the A-Side is the Separation Mix of Stage One’s “Space Manoeuvres”. A track made famous by the NASA like vocal sample and the memorable melodies. A perfect example of the use of an atmospheric soundscape, and definitely one of John Graham’s finest moments in the studio. Made appearances on Sasha & Digweed’s ‘Expeditions’ as well as Sasha’s Ibiza Global Underground.
On the flip is the very impressive DJ Taucher Mix of CM’s “Dream Universe”. A high tempo few minutes open proceedings but the damage is done in the BIG breakdown midway into the track. A smooth and subtle atmosphere fills the air before the trademark strings of this record take control. The last few minutes are classic epic Taucher moments, and is a fine record to conclude the Hooj Classic repress series.
Both quality tunes from the last few years on the final disc, and an uplifting way to finish the series. 10 classics down, so many more to go Hooj! Available at Hooj.com.
