- Hooj Choons is a label that has been there through thick and thin. After all the years of releases it has gone through, they have decided to re-release some of those records that turned heads. 5 discs will be released with 2 tracks to a disc. To start of proceedings, Hooj chose the following for the disc one release.
On the A-side is the delicious Peace Division mix of ‘Touched by God’ by Katcha. As featured on Danny Tenaglia’s London Global Underground, this record showcases the house aspect of Hooj with its funky baseline and synthy melodic stabs. A modern classic indeed.
On Side-B is the Tribe Called KHz mix of Killahurtz’s ‘West On 27th’. This record was a biggie with the likes of Sasha & Digweed at the NY club of clubs, Twilo, and also featured on their Communicate mix release. Many will be familiar with its ‘New York City’ vocal sample and the trademark horn sounding melody.
