Deekline & Wizard feat Top Cat - Special Dedication

  • From the forthcoming Deekline & Wizard live compilation comes a classic Top Cat tune in the form of 'Special Dedication'. The track was originally released as a jungle tune in 1994 with DJ Nut Nut and it has recently been covered by the likes of ragga superstar Sean Paul. It was only a matter of time before the breakbeat elite got their hands on it to cover and who better to do it than Deekline & Wizard who delivered a slamming version of the Prodigy's 'Outta Space' with MC Top Cat on vocals. 'Special Dedication' is loaded with bouncing summer sounds like an upbeat piano riff, jazzy horn stabs and cheeky ragga stabs. It's definitely one tune that will pull people up off their seats and onto the dancefloor. Deekline & Wizard lend it their magic by dropping their trademark booty bass tones and highly energetic breakbeats, even delving into half time during the verses. On vocals MC Top Cat delivers his own brand of dancehall toasting, updating the original vocals for 2006. There's even a special dub version which gives the beats, bassline and sound effects the front stage with minimal cuts of Top Cat's vocals.
