- Next up from Audiolab music comes a track from Russian outfit Moonbeam.Pavel and Vitaly Khvaleyev have been causing a stir of late with some tasty releases,more recently on Feed me records and their own imprints Moonbeam,Disoma & Moon tribal.
Farewell gets three takes , first up the Main mix gets a swinging groove as from the start a beckoning combination of tight percussive elements along with smooth chords and electroish,twinkling melodies set the tone.Oxana's vocal takes over and the track develops further,seeping a warmth while a euphoric mood continues to keep our attention,interchanging and re-shaping around the house beats.
Flip it over and there's a Samy Fresh remix.The Zurich producer takes a different approach,chunking up the beats while playing with the originals melodies,churning out an atmospheric prog number.Eerie pads contort about tight rolling percussion,shifting into more broken rhythms before easing ahead once more.The vocals take things up a level adding a contrasting edge to this formidable retake.
There's also a dub mix which strips out the vocal,finishing up a respectable release from Audiolab and Moonbeam crew.
