Delon & Dalcan - La Migale Infernale

  • A nasty bass line with a saw LFO, grabs you with fear right away on "La Migale". One bar later there's a fury of synth stabs right out of a horror flick before filtered FX add some rhythm, and a tight shaker then breaks into a large vocal sweep leaving a stripped back synth pattern. The drums and hats soon come back marching in towards a higher-pitched, horn-based but equally evil, second melody before everything drops out with a second "SSSSSShhhhhhoooock" vocal sweep and a rising bass line comes in. Small electric FX and snares add some balanced percussion. Then...a sweeping CRASH! as the Aladdin style synth, drums and bass line escalate the dance floor into an electric frenzy! Have your next electric stormer cued up. This is very powerful Electro stuff. (8/10) Boom tadda sit....Make no mistake "Frische" on the B-side is sick. A minimal yet groovy intro consisting of a simple bass pad mixed with a softer pad gets things started; small rolling FX, great percussive work and a tight kick drum making for an amazing balance before some bleeps come in on their own off-beat-yet-on-time melody. A twisting acid-style creeping building up signals the break as a second, stabbing, bass line rides in from the build up. The bass line and drums slam in with the pads; FX and percussive patterns coming to the fore and complimented by bleeps and an organ style groove. The wire acid loop which then comes back up should create a definite mood and atmosphere in the club before fading out to DJ-friendly outro which gives you the choice to build up or down. Twisted minimal for the DC-10 maniacs and all true after-hours fans! (8/10) Imagine someone just smacked you...with an iron. If you like tougher Tech-Electro then don't hesitate to grab this one. The bass on "Live" has a HARD saw LFO with an even tougher kick and matching snare/clap. A piano style synth comes in with a female vocal leading you into terror. A long cymbal sweep takes it to another level before another monster synth smacks you (yes, again!) with more vocal cords. A second cymbal breaks everything down; the bass with FX pads dropping as hi-hats start to rise in the background, bringing in a darker synth pattern and more percussive loops. "Life is not a Dream" sings the female vox with another cymbal sweep. Mayhem follows. This track should not be played if you or anyone in the crowd has heart problems!! A true electro-techno stormer. (9/10)
