- DJ Sofa has been holding it down for junglists in Finland, and the Helsinki producer's newest cut—taken from an upcoming split with Arkyn—makes a perfect introduction to one of the more exciting new artists in this corner of dance music. "Dilemma" is impressive because it touches on so many strains of jungle without feeling like pastiche. It starts out with sweeping pads and beautifully lightweight drums, before the Reese basslines storm in. But lest you think we're in for inclement weather, they're contrasted by high, bright piano notes, sending "Dilemma" down a rabbit hole of passages that include intricate time-stretching, bird-song samples and '80s-style tom toms. It's like looking through a kaleidoscope and seeing jungle refracted eight times at once.
