  • Pumping 2-step goodness that goes from strength to strength with each turn.

  • Describing this record in the liner notes, Sorry Records references Jeff Mills' Purpose Maker. It's a fitting comparison even though the dominant sound on this remix is UK garage. Just as Mills' barrelling kicks create tunnel vision, New York producer Escaflowne offers a similarly all-consuming journey. Swung, punchy drums lock listeners into a state of hard machine groove so hypnotic that five minutes seem to whiz by. Escaflowne effectively rejigs Eamon Harkin's original in such a 360-degree fashion that the only surviving element is loops of bleepy synths that bring a spacey, interdimensional touch to the unyielding drums. Airtight construction and a dynamic flow make his remix a winner for all hours of the night.
