- Towards the end of 2005 there was an anthem brewing up in the sets of many a big name a DJ by the name of Changes. The Alternative Route label is well known for unleashing some of the biggest tunes around, and this preverbal monster by Chris Lake is certainly no exception.
The Original Mix is superb. The track builds smoothly with some tasty electro basslines and some crisp drum patterns. Soon enough the main piano line kicks into the track and blends smoothly with its surroundings, creating an instant summer anthem. Quality work from the quality producer that is Mr. Lake.
The Dub Funk Mix is a quality alternative to the more anthemic a-side. There is a very tasty bassline that gives the track a delightful laid back feel, while the warm summery pads make this just as appealing a track as the a-side while perched in the sun knocking back a lager or two. Solid work yet again.
It’s a typical quality release from by far one of the most consistent labels going around, and with some absolutely stellar releases lined up going well into 2006, it appears it is going to be another superb year for the Alternative Route crew.
