- After its early house releases, Riccardo Schirò's label Gravity Graffiti has become progressively more experimental. Now you're just as likely to hear Acido-style hardware jams as you are oddball synth odysseys. Schirò's "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes," his contribution to the label's latest compilation, Fear Or Music, is a calling card of the label's unpredictable style. At first, it feels like we're hearing to two tracks: one is a twisted, abrasive synth experiment with bass pulses, the other a melancholic IDM number heavy on the chord stabs. But as the track unfolds, the two mold together into an ambient house track where, rather than jarring, the modulated synth adds a further layer of feels.
