- 2005 was definitely Parallel Sounds year. As well as releases on Hope records they had the distinction of remixing the Bedrock single Santiago and made big waves with their live sets. Well here they are with their first release for 2006 and they are proving that theyre definitely not going to go away just yet!
Party going on is a tough progressive house track with electroesque undertones and comes in two mixes. The main mix uses Lady Precises almost hip house vocals to full effect, the driving rhythm sitting underneath perfectly as the track builds up before unleashing an electro riff in the breakdown. The production is top notch and Parallel sound manage to avoid cheesiness but still create a floor filling anthem.
The dub mix uses the vocal more subtly, concentrating firmly on the groove. building the track up using just snippets of Lady precises vocal and if your not too keen on her vocals then this will definitely be the mix for you.
Overall this is another very strong release from Parallel sound and is also Whoops best release for some time. Whoop have been in the game a long time now and here they prove they still know a top tune when they hear one.
