- Since making his debut in 2018, Nick Gynn has perfected a brand of electro-soldered techno filled with confetti-like streaks of acid. "Renaissance," from his latest release on his own Superlux Records, highlights everything the London producer does so well. Like a Roger Corman film, the track is terrifying and fun in equal measures. The menacing 808s and minor key pads give it a sinister, low-slung sulk, but the synth twirls and wobbles sound like blowing bubbles in battery acid. Add in that zombie-walking bassline and radio chatter, and this is another anthem for the final few left staggering on the dance floor.
