- Only the second release on new label Poumpet Records, "NIMBUS 2000" is playful house music that shows how French producer LB aka LABAT can make a lot out of a few basic ingredients. An upbeat piano riff leads the way through a swelling drum pattern, funky handclaps and moaning vocal samples that are juxtaposed smoothly and with a retro touch. The tweaking acid lines are almost too much, but in the end they only contribute to the track's flamboyant and funky groove, the kind of thing that urgs you to strike voguing poses with your upper body.
