In spite of the title, "Rush" feels more like a comedown. The track has all the Logic1000 hallmarks—sprightly breakbeats, Reese bassline, snatches of vocals—but it takes the thread of melancholy that runs through most of her music and gives it a big tug. This would make a great night-ender, not because it slows things down or goes full-on sad, but because of the way it gradually brings the energy down with each new measure. The steady vocal snippets and roiling bass still keep things going until the bittersweet end, and it feels like getting those last few zonked steps in before finally going home.
