- Cass & Tom Mangan are at it again like the filthy little animals they are, this time under the guise of Seven Sonic, and although the name may be different, the dirty music behaviour remains the same. The release is Clean Your Soul, and it is armed with two quality mixes from the UK based duo.
The Original Mix is a pretty sinister affair, with some rippling basslines sending shivers down the speakers as it rumbles its way through the production. The drums are nice and solid, and remain pretty solid throughout, but largely remain in the backseat as the more gritty sounds and effects take control in a track that is meant for some nice loud speakers.
The Cass & Mangan Remix on the flip is fantastic. Probably not as dirty, but nor far off, in a production that wobbles thanks to some tripped out effects. There is a great sub bass that subconsciously drives the track, and it works superbly well with the main looped effect that changes shape and intensity throughout, and is helped greatly with some smooth melodic tones that subtly come in and out of the track. It is a superb mix that for me shines brighter in this release.
Another top draw release by these two lads, and it is clear to see that their focus is squarely on the dance floors with productions that, quite simply, are full of balls and vigour.
