  • The jazz-jungle hybrid single "Luv Like" sees Nia Archives "learn to accept love whilst ultimately dealing with a warped perception of self and distorted self-image," in her own words. A dizzy but razor-sharp breakbeat feels like the lurking hesitation that comes with thinking a new love might be too good to come true. But it's underpinned by a sunny, unwavering guitar loop that persists even after the beat rests, implying that this new love is actually unconditional, a gift. "To think that you / Could ever love someone like me / 'Cause I'm far from perfection," she sings, working through her own insecurities in real-time. As far as the music goes, though, it feels like the Leeds-born, London-raised singer is approaching jungle mastery. With "Luv Like," she effortlessly disguises the peaks and valleys of romantic imposter syndrome in a catchy, mood-lifting tune.
