On "Hiedra," bubbling synth lines and delicate dembow influences circle one another in a dramatic showdown. In the background, a hodgepodge of manipulated whirring and chirping sounds reference both nature and machinery, as if the old and new worlds had combined forces. Informed by the industrial stylings of Coil and the brooding tone of composer Angelo Badalamenti, these mystical creations are begging for a live performance.
