- Kush Jones' latest EP features four new forays into the realm of house and techno, and the wonderfully titled "To Keep It 100 You Gotta Be 100" is the easy standout, if just for its weirdness alone. It's a lopsided house track reinforced with techno steel, with a limping kick drum pattern buoyed by trigger-happy snare and hat work. Those lighter percussive elements fly in circles around the lumbering kicks, as bright, chiming melodies play out in the distance. It's one of those tracks that messes with your perception of rhythm, tempo and arrangement, even though it's a fairly conventional house track at its core.
