Of all the projects in the orbit of Aarhus, Denmark's Regelbau gang, 2 Bit Crew might be the most consistent. C.K. and Optic haven't veered from their original formula of unhurried and melodic house since their first outing on wax in 2013. And "Roller," from their latest 12-inch, is a near-perfect refinement—dusty and deep, with some dub chords to dial in the pathos, while the clicks of a hand drum give the rhythm section a hint of swing. You can't get much better at low-slung house than this.
