- Lukey ended 2021 with a bang. He put out a 12-inch on Hot Creations while also sliding out Other Worlds on Lisbon's Carpets & Snares. In the Venn diagram of contemporary tech house, I doubt there is much crossover between these two worlds, but the Irishman manages to keep a foot in both. On "Explore More," a humid lead melody and slowly building chords could soundtrack scantily clad bros and broettes in a festival promo video, but the spacey bleeps and bouncing bass (and YouTube production tutorial vocal samples) keep things strange. It's hard to create tracks that work as well in the main room as they do at the afters, but Lukey seems to have found a sweet spot.
