- Tiago Walter has always liked his deep house a bit lovestruck. His 2020 LP featured songs like "Take Me I'm Yours" and "Don't Go Away" (the latter slightly more desperate). "I Wanna Be With You" is cut from the same cloth. He starts funky with a springy bassline and swung drums, but slowly the forlorn sigh of strings move up in the mix as a vocoder opines, "I wanna be with you / I wanna be with you alone." In other hands, this might border on the uncomfortably gushy, but Walter's balance of romance and groove (check that spicy 303 break) turns it into the lover's anthem we didn't know we needed.
