- On K-Lone's debut album last year, he showed us a softer side as he crafted curious percussive daydreams. But the title of the B1 on his latest release, a collaborative EP with Vitamin D label boss Wilfy D, is a clue that he's getting back to club mode. "Str8 Up" is dance floor catnip as the duo take Chanté Moore's sugary R&B vocal from her 2000 classic "Straight Up," and turn it into top-shelf retro (and soulful) UK garage. The two don't do much to the vocal but by throwing in some string stabs and 2-stepping drums, all they need to do is wait for the Moët to start popping.
