- Standard Deviation is celebrating Kyiv club ∄'s second anniversary with a compilation "eight artists that shaped the sound of the club over the course of the last year." The first taste comes from Georgia's Salome, who puts a sample of the Russian version of t.A.T.u.'s "Not Gonna Get Us" over some particularly sprightly kick drums, swung and staggered in all the right places. The bright, fizzy trance synths make it something of a "Kisloty People" with a 2021 makeover, though there's much more space—and an impeccable breakdown—in "Catch Us," along with a surprising pop sensibility as the vocal pops up in all the right places. If this is any indication, Standard Deviation's compilation will be a heavy one.
