- The mysterious DJ Steve is supposedly from Sheffield, which seems almost too perfect given the unknown producer's records for Klasse Wrecks are forged in the vintage bleeps-and-breaks style the city is known for. All four cuts on DJ Steve's new Secret Touch EP are winners, with special mention going to the Cathy Denis-sampling "Secret Touch." Label head Luca Lozano—who perhaps not coincidentally lived in Sheffield between 1991 and 2002—provides the curtain closer with a remix of "Vandal Eyes." It's the most serious club gear on the twelve, switching out the original's breakbeat for an expansive, hedonistic cosmic disco rhythm.
