Cleveland - Golem

  • If you like dance music tailored to the wee hours, Kalahari Oyster Cult is becoming a one-stop shop. The label has been pushing a distinctly afterparty brand of house and techno, from the groovy tech house of Junes to the cerebral arpeggios of SW. Their latest release taps Hivern Discs and ESP Institute alum Cleveland. But where the Luxembourg-based producer's previous records were rich with soulful pads, "Golem" is sparse and skeletal. It's a haunted piece of modern techno where drums skitter like spider legs across broken melodies that'll leave the hair on your neck standing up. A perfect track, in other words, for your Halloween bash.
