Mateo & Gantelmi meets Miss Anacor - Danseur

  • An abstract intro via a rolling kick drum, high frequency acid stabs and an easy shaker in the background gets dropped to a filtered vox paired with a warm string pattern at the start of "Danseur". The kick comes back in for one bar, introducing a low end bass sweep before dropping back out as the vox is layered, delayed and filtered. A second rolling kick, rumbles ever so slightly inviting the 4/4 kick back in as the tougher electro/acid bass line will instantly grabs you and every punter in the club. The vocal pattern is switched around while the track continues to build. Synth stabs that don't stab you (in the good sense), compliment the one-off Dr. Mindfunk vocal, introducing the main breakdown. The bass line then leads into a second echoing vocal; this time a female saying "Mine, your body next to mine." The kick and hat come back in for two bars sweeping into a small break with an underlying male vocal singing "Dancer, you're a sexy dancer." The break kicks back in bringing with it the insanity; hard electro/acid bass and echoing vocals with abstract kick patterns. More, please!!!!! A dry kick, sliding electric bass and a raspy shaker on the 2/4 create the ever so deep intro of the Daso remix of "Guacamole" on the flip. A rising seductive synth introduces a soft vocal pad as funky guitar notes are dropped and a disco loop, filled with open hats and snaps, grooves in the background. The vocal comes in and out as a warm looping pad breaks things up a bit. The electric bass continues on a 4 bar pattern reducing the repetitive nature as the funk continues with more guitar notes, strange sweeps, snaps and quick cymbal rides. The kick and bass take centre stage for a brief stint adapting a funky/ filtered electric bass certain to cork up the dance floor - some rye high hats allowing the room to build down. The bass drops out thru the help of a well automated somber synth creeping up. This synth loop continues re-introducing the bass line back in. The original groove takes over leading to a small break down minus the kick before giving way to several different bass patterns and a DJ friendly outro. Deep and funky, great in closer environments. Did I mention how deep this is?
