  • D-Saw are Andre Winter and Stefan Dobeli, teaming up on the German label Terrace for a track which is so good I'm just going to get into it here and now! Soulfully technological, trippy panned quirky noises sit on top a rich solid kick, while the sultry breathy female vocal has me forgetting what Xenia's singing about and just wondering what she looks like! Techy to its core without being in your face, an addictively gorgeous synth loop keeps tension, rising hypnotically as the track peaks deliciously with light techno hats, more synths and tons of edits and effects that add without distracting. Goes off with style, great production values and drive to pick the pace or keep it moving. Henry's Out of the Blue mix on the B is also not much different from the A side, and this is a good thing! A new funky percussion loop, stronger, bouncy synth line, and swirling background synths keep this one a bit busier than the original. Although the vocal's not in effect as much, it's deeper but more active instrumentally. For those not looking at a lyrical set, there's also a Dub which pretty much follows the original, cutting out all but a few vocal samples that really only act as sound effects and which the instrumental track can easily do without. Still plenty of edits and effects, all to good effect (sic), it's really a matter of where you want to go, vocal with the A, dubby with the B sides...but you do have a choice. Isn't that nice? Both cuts could work their electronic magic on the floor for a whole range of DJs, way to go Terrace!
