- Beats Unlimited, a new collaboration between Glenn Astro and Doc Sleep, goes deep on percussive science and dubby textures on their debut release. Channeling Afrikan Sciences circa Circuitous, "Chrome Loops" is a tapestry of intricate polyrhythms, minimal techno and slow-release endorphins. Combining Astro's love of textures with Doc Sleep's punchy club manoeuvres, it features jerky drums cutting through layers of static while floaty synths rise and fall in the background. It might get you a tad delirious but a steady current of whirling beats will keep your feet on the ground.
