- After a set of globetrotting percussive workouts on Livity Sound with the Tribal Brothers, UK funky mainstay DJ Polo returns solo with some straightforward party tracks. My favorite on this 12-inch for Club Djembe is "7AM, Barca." Although the shuffle of the drums is particularly dexterous, it's the high-end that has me hitting rewind. The clipped vocal samples and twirling synths give the song a touch of tropical humidity. So much so that when you close your eyes, it's almost like stepping out of the club and waiting for that air-conditioned taxi to protect you against a soon-to-be-sweltering Barcelona sun.
