  • From the first handclaps to the final trombone note, Nwando Ebizie's "I Seduce" barely lets the listener up for air. The first taste of her forthcoming album is a cyclone of alternating vocal and rhythmic patterns (specifically, samples from Haitian vodou drumming) that unfold with a kinetic restlessness. Between its Audre Lorde inspiration and the accompanying music video that uses a kaleidoscope of imagery of Black women from the past and present, "I Seduce" celebrates sexuality as a site of radical potential.
