Alec Falconer seems to be building an empire of interconnected aliases, labels, and even a distro where you can buy a branded drum kit. There's a clear sense of quality control through all his endeavours, whether we're talking last year's 2-step EP or the twinkling deep house of the 2X imprint. His first EP of 2021 keeps the streak alive with "Anna Notherthing." The track is bespoke for the after-afters: built around a pitched down break and a jazzy bassline, with enough acid squelches and the occasional siren ensuring that you stay for just one more tune.
