Bézier - Continuum

  • Floor-shaking electro with an air of mystery.

  • The second release on Robert Yang's new label miv. continues the raw, floor-ready vibes of the first one, which was partly a collaboration with Vin Sol. Yang strikes out on his own for Continuum, but it's no less inventive, taking the off-kilter rhythmic patterns of his most personal work and applying them in a more straightforward way. The choice cut is the title track, a bit of shuddering electro with brittle, high-pitched synths hinting at Detroit and thundering squalls of sub-bass that look east to Miami. Like the best of Yang's work, it's funky, head-nodding and just a little mysterious, a certain note of intrigue that hangs in the air like smo.
