- A rare drum track from a master of psychedelic techno.
- Wata Igarashi's style is so well-defined that when you hear one of his tracks, even in a set of similarly hypnotic techno, it's pretty clear who's on the buttons. "Cylinder," from his new EP for Len Faki's label, is stripped of the vivid kaleidoscopes Igarashi usually creates with arps, leaving a barebones drum groove and a warbly acid bassline. It won't necessarily stand out in the same way his other music can, but "Cylinder" is a welcome chance to see what Igarashi can deliver when he leaves his main weapon at home.
