- Bollywood disco is so lively that tracks don't need much tinkering for dance floor edits. But on "Sampadan 28," Todh Teri takes a more playful approach. Instead of letting the sample breathe, Teri distorts the vocals, making them unrecognisable to ears unfamiliar with the dramatic shrieks of Bollywood heroes. It's only much later that Teri gives in to the sample, but instead of pushing deeper into Bollywood's signature synth funk, he surprises with a delightful jazz interlude that almost feels too short. You wish it could have been introduced earlier for maximum effect.
